I found out I was pregnant on August 1, 2014 headed up to Spooner, WI so we could help do some work to my in-laws place while they were out of town. It was a wonderfully, surprising day. That night I decided I wanted to remember my pregnancy, the hopes, the fears, the reality of it all. So, I started this blog so I had a place to jot it all down, and who knows, maybe a few people would stumble upon it and find it interesting. A few things about me, I’m married to the best man in the world. I know a lot of people say that, but I’m 100% sure that I’m right. We have two wonderful dogs, Silva and Durden who were are first “babies.” We live in the Minneapolis metro and love three of the four seasons here, but we also love to travel anytime we can to the ocean (which is usually at least three times per year). We’re hoping we can still keep this going even while putting our child through daycare at $340/week. We also really love sports (especially the Vikings), our friends, our families, and laughing – we laugh a lot – at each other especially. So, this is my story of finding out I was pregnant at 29 (baby due two months after I turn 30) and transitioning from a family of two to three, while trying to keep moving my way up the corporate rung. I have a feeling as important to me as my career is, it’s going to take a big backseat to the greatest opportunity of all – becoming mommy.
